With our “Change third party” module you can modify the third party on various Dolibarr business objects: commercial proposals, orders, invoices, etc.For customer documents, you will be able to modify quotes, orders, shipping, contracts and invoices.
For supplier documents, you will be able to change the third Party on price requests, purchase orders, receptions and invoices.
Please note: modifying validated invoices does not comply with French law. Doing this will prevent certification concerning the use of secure software or cash register systems. In order to remain compliant with the current legislation, the module can be restricted to only allow “draft” invoices to be modified.
Before using the module’s features you’ll need to set it up through: Configuration menu > Modules > Change third party Click on the Configuration icon (cog).
Set for the “Customers” section and for the “Suppliers” section, each element on which you want to be able change the third party.
Please note for users in France:
Editing invoices that have been printed and sent to the customer is not allowed. You should only use the editing function on invoices with the "draft" status.
You can also choose to record these Third Party changes in Dolibarr, within the “Events” section. To do this, set the “Record changes in events” toggle.
In the following example the third party will be changed on a commercial proposal. For all other elements, the procedure is the same.
To change the third party on a proposal (regardless of its status), open the proposal and simply use the "edit" button next to the third party's name.
You can then choose the new third party from the drop-down list and validate the change with the “Modify” button.
The third party is now changed. The new PDF for the proposal has automatically been generated. You can now open it or send it by email.
You can set which users can access this feature in the user permissions. For each user, go to their profile or group, in the "Permissions" tab and activate/deactivate the rights linked to this module.
